Glass House Initiative

Software that plays fair with small teams.

A lot of software hides its price behind “contact sales”, charges more for every seat, voter or tracked user, or makes leaving hard. We build small, focused alternatives that don't. Every price is on the page and doesn't grow with your headcount. You can move in easily and take all your data with you whenever you like. And the person who builds each tool reads what you write and fixes things fast. A glass house because everything is in view: the price, what it pays for, and how far along each tool really is.

How we build

  1. The price is on the page. Every plan, the trial length and what renewal costs, before you sign up. No quotes, no demos, no enterprise tier you have to ask about.
  2. Not per head. You don't pay more for each teammate, voter or end user. Where a plan has a limit, it's printed next to the price; where a cost really grows with use (text messages, say), it's passed on at a published rate with a cap. Your price never goes up while you stay subscribed.
  3. Easy in, easy out. Each tool comes with a step-by-step guide for moving over from the tool you use today. Getting out is just as easy: export all your data at any time in an open format (CSV or JSON), and cancel by yourself in two clicks. No lock-in, no exit interview.
  4. We listen, and ship. Every message is read by the person who builds the tool. Good ideas and bug fixes don't wait for a quarterly roadmap: we aim to ship small improvements within days.
  5. One job, done well. Small tools that are cheap to run, so they can stay cheap to buy.
  6. Honest status. A tool marked “waitlist” isn't built yet; “in development” means sign-up isn't open. We never show reviews, logos or user counts we don't have.
  7. Fair comparisons. When a tool's page compares prices, it names the date and links the source. Other products' names here are only so you can search for them; we aren't affiliated with them.
